Westfield hasn't had much luck against Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wolverines will welcome the Wolfpack at 5:00 p.m. Westfield will be strutting in after a victory while Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, Westfield needed a bit of extra time to put away Brocton. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Bulldogs. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Joey Russo and Logan Baum made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Russo struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Baum tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Westfield's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). At the plate, Russo went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Baum went 2-for-4 with two runs. That's the most hits Baum has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trent Ramm, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Ian Kindermann was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama fell victim to Frewsburg and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears.
Ryland Posker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.
Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Westfield, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Westfield has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Westfield got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama by a conclusive 14-0 score. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolfpack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
