Mercer County won the last time they faced Abingdon/Avon and things went their way on Saturday too. The Golden Eagles came out on top against the Tornadoes by a score of 2-0.

Kinzee Marston paced Mercer County's offense, picking up seven kills. Marston got some help from Addison Tharp and her six assists. Tharp also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sarah Hofmann, each putting up two.

Mercer County's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Abingdon/Avon, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Mercer County has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Monmouth United on the 22nd. As for Abingdon/Avon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Knoxville on the 22nd.
