The Walter Johnson Wildcats suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They suffered a rough 78-57 defeat at the hands of Paint Branch. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Paint Branch got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dennis Tamnou out in front who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tamnou has scored all season. Isaiah Lee was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Walter Johnson has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Paint Branch, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.
Walter Johnson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Einstein on January 23rd. Einstein is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Paint Branch, they will head out on the road to face off against Blair at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Blair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Paint Branch is ranked 58th).
