Tradition Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Johnson, who went 11 for 21 on his way to 36 points. The contest was Johnson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Aydan Fields was another key player, going 9 for 10 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds.

Westwood's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Tradition Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.
