Centennial came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cherokee Braves a 2-0 shutout. The two-point effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Cherokee, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Centennial won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Academy for College and Career Exploration at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Cherokee and Roswell will round out the year against one another at at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
