Wilkins scored 8 points along with 19 rebounds and 8 steals, while Lyles dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lyles has scored at least 25% of High Point Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Cherri Yates, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Spartanburg Day's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for High Point Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Allowing an average of 59 points per game, Carolina Day has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest. As for High Point Academy, they will be playing at home against Greer Middle College at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Greer Middle College comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
