The Grandview Heights Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Centerburg Trojans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Grandview Heights will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
On Friday, Grandview Heights got the win against Bishop Ready by a conclusive 13-1. With that victory, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Mitchell Hahn made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Hahn was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Zach Loy and Grant Gambone did most of the damage at the plate: Loy went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Gambone went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Gambone a new career-high. Kinny Wilson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Grandview Heights kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Centerburg was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They blew past Loudonville 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Grandview Heights is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Centerburg, their record is now 7-4.
Grandview Heights came out on top in a nail-biter against Centerburg in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
