They breezed by Grove City Christian at home to the tune of 56-2. The victory was nothing new for Fisher Catholic as they're now sitting on three straight.
Fisher Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Voni Bethel, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five steals. The contest was Bethel's third in a row with at least ten points. Ellie Bruce was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Fisher Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Grove City Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fisher Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bishop Hartley at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. Bishop Hartley has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9. Grove City Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Fairfield Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th.
