 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Haltom was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 557  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 190  rushing yards in seven consecutive  games.
 Haltom didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Brian Connors.
 Meanwhile, Bowie really took it to Arlington for the full four quarters, racking up  a  48-21 win at home. The Volunteers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by 27  points or more this season.
  Larry Nichols was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 215 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while also throwing for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Those 215  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.  Darrion Bowers was another key player, rushing for 100 yards and three touchdowns.
 Bowie's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  eight times. Arlington's QB  won't forget  Bryson Castile anytime soon given he sacked him three times.
