The Chapin Eagles had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Dutch Fork by a score of 58-45 on Tuesday. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as Chapin did.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chapin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaydon Bradford, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bradford scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Cayman Collins, who scored 12 points along with seven assists.
Dutch Fork lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elgin Sessions, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Sessions continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Bryson Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Chapin's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for Dutch Fork, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chapin will take on White Knoll at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dutch Fork, they will be playing at home against Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
