The Lincoln Lynx fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Granite Prospectors on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Prospectors 50-46. Lincoln was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Granite apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Lynx players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Krymzen Dempster, who scored ten points along with five steals. Dempster is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last eight games she's played. Makena Copenhaver was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Granite, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-46 defeat vs. Granite on the 10th. Granite has also already played their next contest, a 50-46 victory against Lincoln on the 10th.
