Badger is 9-1 against Mathews since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Badger Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Mathews Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Badger focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Monday.
Last Monday, Badger got the win against Maplewood by a conclusive 64-41. The win made it back-to-back wins for Badger.
Badger relied on the efforts of Gabriella Miller, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals, and Katie Grexa, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Grexa's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Rice, who scored 5 points.
Mathews can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They blew past Chalker 49-14 at home. The victory was just what Mathews needed coming off of a 54-14 defeat in their prior match.
Their wins bumped Badger to 2-1 and Maplewood to 2-1.
Badger didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Mathews in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 43-38 victory. Will Badger repeat their success, or does Mathews have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
