The Bridges Prep Buccaneers's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They really took it to Royal Live Oaks Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-4 victory on the road. Bridges Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bridges Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makayla Lapp, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lapp has scored all season. Alysia Neal was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 steals and eight assists.
Bridges Prep's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Royal Live Oaks Academy, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Bridges Prep will take on Allendale-Fairfax at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Allendale-Fairfax presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bridges Prep in South Carolina (Allendale-Fairfax is ranked 65th, while Bridges Prep is ranked 248th). As for Royal Live Oaks Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Whale Branch at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
