It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cardinal Gibbons had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-14 victory over the Garner Trojans. The win was nothing new for the Crusaders as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Cardinal Gibbons' victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Garner, they moved to 9-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
