The Knob Noster Panthers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Boonville 35-0. Knob Noster was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Trey Payne threw for 128 yards on 14 of 23 attempts. Morgan Elwell was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards.
Dakota Troost was his usual excellent self, rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while also throwing for 39 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Dakota Williams was another key contributor, picking up 55 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Knob Noster's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Boonville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-6.
Knob Noster does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Boonville will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Odessa.
