In what's become a running theme this season, the Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 59-26 win over Brighton Charter. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-10.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marcus Edwards led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Edgar Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Arrowhead Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Brighton Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arrowhead Christian Academy will face off against the at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sonoran Science Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Eagles are ranked 115th). As for Brighton Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against the at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
