Trailing by two scores in the fourth quarter, Central (8-0) got its offense going once more. Quarterback Austin Stock and Devontae Phillips connected on a 11-yard touchdown pass. The score was followed up by an 11-yard touchdown run from
Joe Yearby to tie the score at 35-35 with under five minutes remaining.
Neither team scored again in regulation, and Central got the ball first in overtime.
Yearby wasted no time, scoring to give Central a 42-35 lead. Belen (8-2) quickly answered as quarterback Danny Admire hit Danny Macias for a 12-yard score.
At the start of the second OT, Belen's ground game proved effective once more, as Alex Chica darted across the goal line to go up 49-42.
This time, it was Central's turn to respond. On its first play, Stock and Phillips connected again on a 10-yard touchdown to knot the score at 49-49.
After Davis and Yearby traded touchdowns in the third overtime, Central came up with a big interception that set up Nadelman's 27-yard field goal, putting an end to a wild game between two of Dade County's top teams.
Davis rushed for five touchdowns for Belen Jesuit, whose only loss came to rival Columbus early in the season.
Central takes on North Miami Beach next week.
