Canadian moved up to 278 from 320 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A-2 Region I District 1. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of topping Spearman 59-21.
Sanford-Fritch took down Highland Park 61-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Canadian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ben Arbuckle threw for 254 and six touchdowns and Braiden Galla had 89 yards receiving. On the ground Chris Marquez chipped in 96 yards. Boston Hudson helped Canadian's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 81 yards.
Canadian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Arbuckle has thrown for 2458 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, while Hudson has 53 catches for 833 yards. Marquez leads the league in rushing with 508 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Chris Koetting's team takes on Boys Ranch. The Wildcats' offense has scored 273 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Roughriders have allowed only 137 on the year.
A big matchup in 2A-2 Region I District 1 this week will be when the Lynx take on the Hornets. Spearman is currently in first, while Highland Park is in fourth.
Canadian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,511 from 3,013. The improvement was the result of 59-21 victory over Steve Rodman's team last week.
