The Grace Christian Warriors suffered their biggest defeat since November 3, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 74-51 defeat at the hands of Harrisonburg. Grace Christian has not had much luck with Harrisonburg recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
It was another big night for Ryan Fuqua, who scored 32 points along with six steals and five rebounds for Harrisonburg. That makes it three consecutive games in which Fuqua has scored at least a third of Harrisonburg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Nowlin, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Grace Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Harrisonburg, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.
Grace Christian will be playing at home against Monterey at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monterey is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Harrisonburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Avoyelles Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Avoyelles Charter is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
