  Abbi Wood was the offensive standout of the  matchup as she  had 15  digs and two  aces. What's more,  she racked up 15 assists, the most she's  had since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of  Leiema Fano, who  had five  digs and two  aces.
 When it comes to explaining why Cedar Valley lost on Thursday, don't look at  Ashley Gagnier. Despite the final result, she  had 29  digs and three  assists.  Brinley Mcclellan also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assist of the season.
Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 5-21. As for Cedar Valley,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-17.
 Looking ahead, Westlake will challenge Skyridge at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Cedar Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
