Basketball Recap: Hope Academy Piles Up the Points Against Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech

Hope Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech on Friday. The Hope Academy Trojan Tigers took their match with ease, bagging a 90-51 win over the Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech Tigers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hope Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dwayne Foreman III, who shot 61% from the field on his way to 27 points along with seven assists and seven steals. The game was Foreman III's fourth in a row with at least 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Willie Griggs, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards.

Hope Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season. Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 16-7.

Coming up, Hope Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Downey Christian at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. Downey Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 266 points over their last three games.
