Beaufort is 6-0 against Hanahan since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Beaufort Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Hanahan Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Beaufort is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Beaufort struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (North Charleston had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Beaufort took a hard 53-38 fall against North Charleston.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Amani Cleckley, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Samari Bonds, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Hanahan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 57-25 defeat at the hands of Philip Simmons. Hanahan has struggled against Philip Simmons recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Justin Maduro, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Landon Hargrove was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Beaufort now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Hanahan, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Beaufort was able to grind out a solid victory over Hanahan when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 62-51. Will Beaufort repeat their success, or does Hanahan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
