Wasco is 0-3 against Monache since November of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wasco Tigers will be playing at home against the Monache Marauders at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Wasco ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They slipped by Wonderful College Prep Academy 50-49.
Wasco can attribute much of their success to Jonatan Cruz Perez, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Lopez, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Monache put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 64-42 margin over Chavez. Considering Monache has won three games by more than 21 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Wasco now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Monache, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Wasco was dealt a bruising 63-25 loss at the hands of Monache in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Wasco, Brandan Garcia (who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
