New Bloomfield's tough 71-51 defeat to the Indians might stick with them for a while. New Bloomfield has struggled against the Indians recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, New Bloomfield still got an impressive performance from Jacob Fuhriman, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Fuhriman pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Andrew Fouch, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
New Bloomfield dropped their record down to 7-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Russellville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14.
New Bloomfield won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Owls at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. One thing working in Marshall's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
