A District 5 recap October 29, 2013
Wynnewood extended the longest winning streak in A District 5 this week by beating Stratford, 19-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Savages.
Wynnewood took down the Bulldogs 19-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Pete Carter threw for 90 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 95 yards in the win.
Wynnewood's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Savages feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Carter has thrown for 782 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Tyler Keith has 9 catches for 244 yards. Carter also leads the league in rushing with 596 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Brad O'Steen's team takes on Wayne. At the moment, the Savages are in first, while the Bulldogs are in sixth.
Maysville led A District 5 in scoring this week after putting up 36 points on Caddo.
