Willamina hadn't done well against Taft recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Tigers. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Willamina and bumps their season record up to 12-3-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-11 Jefferson and 6-11 Taft. As for Taft, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Willamina has already played their next game, an 18-8 win against Blanchet Catholic on the 30th. As for Taft, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 23-2 victory against Jefferson on the 30th.
