  Addie Bowen was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up  four earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. Bowen was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more  stolen bases the last three times she's  played.
 In other batting news,  Shelby Little was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in five of her six plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Molly Lanahan, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-5.
 On GRACE Christian's side,  Macey Alicea was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.  Ellie McDowell was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Even though they lost, GRACE Christian  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 12  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 The  win  got St. Mary's back to even at 2-2. As for GRACE Christian,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will take on Ravenscroft at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Ravenscroft is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10.5  runs per game this season. As for GRACE Christian, they will be playing at home against Wake Christian Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
