On Friday Minnechaug Regional take on Chicopee Comp at 7:00 PM. Minnechaug Regional have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Minnechaug Regional had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They got past Longmeadow with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 25-21.
Meanwhile, Chicopee Comp had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 12-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Plymouth South.
Minnechaug Regional's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Chicopee Comp's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Minnechaug Regional's success rolls on or if Chicopee Comp are able to steal their positive momentum.
