Northland Christian lost against the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Northland Christian was the victim of a tough 53-27 defeat at the hands of Heritage Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Northland Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 501st in Missouri, while Heritage Christian Academy is ranked 94th in Kansas).
Heritage Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caelyn Ferguson out in front who scored 18 points. Ferguson hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Sachau, who scored 12 points along with six steals.
Northland Christian dropped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Heritage Christian Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Northland Christian will head out on the road to square off against Pattonsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. Heritage Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so Lutheran's offense will have their work cut out for them.
