This season hasn't been kind to the Esparto Spartans, who are still winless after their 12th game. They took a serious blow against Dixon on Friday, falling 78-14. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Esparto has scored all season.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antonio Seastrunk Jr., who scored nine points. Seastrunk Jr. scored a full 64.3% of Esparto's points, the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Andre Oliver , who scored four points.
Esparto's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Dixon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Esparto will finish 2023 at home by hosting Calistoga at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calistoga will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Dixon is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Vacaville Christian at 8:00 p.m. on December 27th.
