The DeSoto Thunderbirds stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Regents 52-11 at home. 52 seems to be a good number for DeSoto as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Leading DeSoto to victory were Anslee Barnes and Carsyn Gore. Barnes scored 17 points along with six rebounds, while Gore scored 19 points along with three steals. Gore is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Allie Reynolds was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds.
DeSoto's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Regents, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
DeSoto will head out on the road to face off against West Memphis Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Regents does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
