The Haven Wildcats waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 55-43 win over Hoisington. That's another feather in the cap for Haven, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Hoisington still got an impressive performance from Ellie Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Crawford has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Hahn, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Haven pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Hoisington, their defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-6.
Haven didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-31 loss vs. Smoky Valley on the 9th. Hoisington has also already played their next match, a 57-25 win against Lyons on the 9th.
