Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 44-36 victory over the Monroe Redhawks. Those 44 points were actually the fewest the Eagles have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Scoot Colyer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 55% from the field to rack up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Crowder, who posted four points and seven boards.

Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They are 2-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.

The win got Central back to even at 3-3. As for Monroe, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Central will venture away from home to face off against North Central at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Monroe, they will be home for the holidays to greet Mount Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
