Softball Recap: Dayton Has No Trouble Against Taft

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against McLoughlin, Dayton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Taft Tigers with a sharp 16-1 win. Considering the Pirates have won 12 games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dayton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Taft, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Dayton has already played their next matchup, a 22-0 win against Blanchet Catholic on the 28th. As for Taft, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-2 loss against Willamina on the 28th.
