Softball Recap: Northside Drops Season-High Score on Harrold

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northside). They blew past the Harrold Hornets 21-8 on Friday. Considering the Indians have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Northside got a massive performance out of A. Acosta, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those four runs gave Acosta a new career-high. Another player making a difference was K. Gomez, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Northside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .674. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Northside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. Harrold's loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Northside will head out to square off against Munday at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrold, they will welcome Knox City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
