Maygen Woody tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Newark got a massive performance out of Lilly Holmes, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Holmes a new career-high. Lexi Shanaberg also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
