The Stringer Red Devils will be home for the holidays to greet the Mount Olive Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stringer will be strutting in after a win while Mount Olive will be coming in after a loss.
Stringer scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Mississippi School for the Deaf 50-21 at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Stringer as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Mount Olive, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 46-12 loss at the hands of North Forrest. Mount Olive has not had much luck with North Forrest recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Stringer's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Mount Olive, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Stringer was able to grind out a solid victory over Mount Olive in their previous meeting back in February of 2021, winning 54-43. Does Stringer have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mount Olive turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
