After a disappointing 6 points in the contest before, Owyhee made sure to put some points up on the board against McDermitt on Saturday. Owyhee took the game and then some with a 78-31 victory over McDermitt. McDermitt can consider this payback for the 0-2 loss they dealt Owyhee the last time the teams encountered one another.
The win bumped Owyhee's record up to 1-2. The defeat dropped McDermitt's record to 0-2.
Owyhee looks to establish their home field advantage next week as they take on Independence at 1:00 PM. Independence took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Owyhee's good fortune. McDermitt are packing up and heading on the road for their first away match this season. They face off against Wells at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
