The Western Hills Mustangs were the 74-51 winner over the Goshen Warriors when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Western Hills took a 74-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (56), Western Hills still had to take the loss.
Caden Zeinner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Goshen, scoring 42 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zeinner has scored all season. Karson Alderman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Western Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Goshen, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Western Hills is on the road again on Friday and plays the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Woodward knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Mustangs likes a good challenge. As for Goshen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Batavia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Warriors are ranked 81st).
