The Tamarac Bengals can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They snuck past Cambridge with a 62-57 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tamarac was led to victory by Adam Rice and Kamerin Edmonds. Rice scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, while Edmonds scored 25 points along with eight steals and six assists. That's the first time this season that Rice posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Price, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
Tamarac's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Cambridge, they bumped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Tamarac will take on Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stillwater knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully Tamarac likes a good challenge. As for Cambridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Saratoga Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Saratoga Central Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cambridge in New York (Saratoga Central Catholic is ranked 265th, while Cambridge is ranked 589th).
