Stillwater has gone  a perfect 8-0 against Irondale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Monday. The Ponies will host the Knights  at 4:30  p.m. Stillwater will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Stillwater is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Minnesota's top teams: Centennial, who was ranked 20th  at the time (Stillwater was ranked 14th). The Ponies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-2  victory over the Cougars  on Friday.
 Ella Weisser looked comfortable as she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Maya Schroeder, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Irondale). They never let Park Center get on the board and left with  a   14-0  win  on Friday. The Knights have beaten the Pirates the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pirates has come to flipping the script.
 Adahlia Eames was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  doubles, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  doubles marked the first that  she has  hit this season.  Maria Walsh was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Irondale  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .583. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Stillwater's victory was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 7-1. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Irondale, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-6.
Irondale's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Stillwater has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 9.9  hits per game. It's a different story for Irondale, though, as  they've been averaging 11.4  hits. Given Stillwater's sizable advantage in that area, the Knights will need to find a way to close that gap.
 Stillwater took their  win against Irondale  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024 by a conclusive  16-0 score. Do  the Ponies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
