Futures came tearing into Wednesday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.
One reason for the win was Futures' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 25-17.

Futures' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olga Vivsik, who had ten kills, eight aces, and seven digs. What's more, Vivsik posted two assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Viktoria Esyutin, who had six aces and four digs.
They weren't the only good server: Futures was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive contests.
Despite the defeat, Western Sierra Collegiate Academy had strong showings from Katelyn Tanber, who had seven digs and five assists, and Molly Chen, who had four digs and two aces. Chen is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Adelyne Olvera also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.
Futures' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.
Looking ahead, Futures will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin at 6:00 p.m. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Colfax on the 4th.
