Leading Xenia to victory were Alaiya Meaux and Nataiya Madison. Meaux scored 10 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds, while Madison dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tayler Elliott, who scored 6 points.
Xenia's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Fairborn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Xenia will challenge Piqua at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Piqua and Xenia are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Fairborn, they will head out on the road to face off against Stebbins at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Stebbins presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fairborn in Ohio (Stebbins is ranked 171st, while Fairborn is ranked 368th).
