Softball Recap: Spanish Fork Extends Winning Streak to Three

Spanish Fork had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on the North Sanpete Hawks with a sharp 10-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Jade Romero, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Baylee Smith, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

The win got Spanish Fork back to even at 8-8. As for North Sanpete, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Spanish Fork wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Emery on the 12th. As for North Sanpete, they have also already played their next game, an 8-6 defeat against Gunnison Valley on the 12th.
