After soaring to 60 points the game before, the Manassas Tigers were a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Kenwood, falling 82-11. Manassas was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kenwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zy?kerion Hinton, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Russell, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Manassas now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Kenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Manassas will head out on the road to face off against Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Kenwood, they will be playing at home against Henry County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
