Basketball Recap: Oroville's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Oroville had lost eight straight headed into Tuesday's game, but Kevin Taylor didn't let it get to nine. The Oroville Tigers breezed by the Valley Vikings to the tune of 76-36 on Tuesday thanks in part to Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 11 steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 3.8 steals per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Dorsey, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Oroville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Valley, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Oroville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-57 win against Sutter on the 4th. As for Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 72-30 loss against Amador on the 6th.
