The Fountain Inn Fury will challenge the Wren Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fountain Inn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Fountain Inn took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Emerald a 15-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Fury considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Collin Wilson looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mason Guion was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Dominick Stopa, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Fountain Inn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Emerald only posted an OBP of .143.

Meanwhile, Wren waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Red Raiders.

Fountain Inn's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Wren, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Fountain Inn skirted past Wren 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Fury have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hurricanes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
