That was a full 61.7% of Somerset College Prep Academy's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriana Martinez, who earned four points and ten boards.
Even though they lost, Somerset College Prep Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Vero Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 73-45 loss at the hands of Centennial. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Eagles are ranked 47th).
Somerset College Prep Academy will have to keep a close watch on Ekklesia Anderson and Zy?Noria Ferguson, a pair of players who had a big impact on Vero Beach's prior game. Anderson went 7 of 13 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and six rebounds, while Ferguson almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. With that strong performance, Anderson is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.
Vero Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Somerset College Prep Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.5 points per game.
