Armijo is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Johnson is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Royals will welcome the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Armijo made easy work of Fairfield and carried off a 17-11 victory.

Brooklyn Talbot made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 5-for-6. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.1 hits per game.
In other batting news, Tiana Alcorn was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Aaliyah Spears was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Armijo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Johnson made easy work of Burbank on Friday and carried off an 18-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won five in a row.
Like Armijo, Johnson also got a great game from a two-way player: Anissa Zavala. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Zavala was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
In other pitching news, Kayla Madison and DeAhjanuque Salter dominated on the mound. Madison went 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Salter went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Valicianna Collins-Hogan, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Naomi Quiroz, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Johnson's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Armijo, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Armijo has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Johnson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Armijo was able to grind out a solid win over Johnson when the teams last played back in March, winning 7-4. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
