The Kenton Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They managed a 56-52 victory over Perry. The win was some much needed relief for Kenton as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Perry saw an underclassman step up: Khaliah Luster scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Lexenna Lee was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
Kenton's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Perry, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Kenton will head out on the road to face off against Celina at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Celina will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Perry will take on Hardin Northern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hardin Northern focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Thursday.
